Joaquim Espuny (Tortosa, 1967). They are limited edition productions essentially in stoneware and refractory sand cooked at high temperature, that can be completed with the utilization of other materials like crystal, glass, stone, wood or metal. Even the presentation of the object is made thinking of its singularity.
Joaquim Espuny, sculptor and wall maker, has worked in the design and the realization of sculptures for awards, recognitions, commemorative pieces and of representation, for private companies and institutions like the Town Council of Amposta, the Official Schools of Doctors and Veterinarians of Tarragona, the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, the Foundation Picasso of Orta and the Tortosa Choral Society.
"... demonstrations of nature that the ceramist Joaquim Espuny picks up and establishes in an artistic way in his pieces. The mud worked in the form of breads or of disks; the earthy enamels and the stone and the iron as very integrated elements speak us about the daily effort... and they remember us... that not everything can be reduced to concepts." Josep M. Cadena, El Periódico, 2002
