Hers are materic works, rich, elaborated, and show us an exquisite combination of colors, already not so living as at the beginning but more reflexive, and mixed with one searched and always present texture, which she combines harmonically with the detail, with the drawing insinuated, with the subtle incision.

TORNER DE SEMIR AT "CAL XULLAT"
November 2008

teresarius: promotors d'art has the pleasure of presenting the artwork of this great artist of the Catalan painting in the popular shop delicatessen "Cal Xullat" of Torrelles de Foix. The rural villages, those that feel placed near a river and that a bridge gives access, they are usual in the painting of Torner de Semir. They all are shown with living and luminous colors, even though a yellow moon hanged in a corner of the sky suggests night environments. The painter marks the silhouettes of the main elements of each composition with strong and precise lines and uses the flat and pure colors to express the feelings. It has an own style that he founds in the simplicity of the realization in a very well structured composition. Also we highlight his famous feminine figures, known as Menines.

Dates: of the 8th November of 2008 until the 3rd January of 2009

Cal Xullat: Carretera Pontons, 33 - 08737 Torrelles de Foix. Tel. 938 972 134

Laura Gazeau at La Coqueria
29 August - 15 October 2007

With her paintings this artist manages to transmit sensations and emotions in which every spectator is let lose during some minutes in a different way. The landscapes that to some transmit peace and calmness, perhaps melancholy inspires to others. They make us meditate on ourselves, on the pass of the time. They highlight so much the strange and disturbing obtained depth as 'one natural good taste' in the composition and the combination of the colours.

Maria Huerga
29th of June to 29th of August 2007

The artwork of this artist of Manacor is based on a series of dreams and utopian architectural projects as well as also the most metaphysical part of the own existence.

In this exhibition of works in small format we find intimist abstractions where it is frequent to find traces of the nature. What Maria wants to show is a metaphysical reality, oneiric, full of impossible characters, of another world.

Maria Huerga investigates with the colors. Working with the primary ones and with these she obtains all the other ones. The way to order them it is important, the purpose is to produce the mental vibration of the color, through the disposition of a neuter color with a primary, one secondary with a pure color. The saturation is also mystical, it is the exoticism of the color.

Ramon Vila-Rovira, Materia Viva

26th to 30th June 2007

Presentation of the art book and Inauguration of the art show “Ramon Vila-Rovira, Matèria Viva” at the Hartmann Gallery of Barcelona.

Dr. Vila-Rovira has become an important figure, known and well-loved for his personal charisma and acknowledged at a national and international level for his achievements in the field of plastic surgery. However, artistic creation, his other passion, may be unknown to many people. Among his creations the drawings and oil paintings of his first stage, such as collages, abstract works and more recent sculptures stand out from the rest. With the presentation of his book and the exhibition we want to penetrate into the world of Vila-Rovira; a fascinating, touching, thoughtful, critic and sincere world. After abandoning figurative art, Ramon takes a step further to bravely evolve to form and matter topics, once again a reflection of his great personality. Vila-Rovira goes into a world of found and recycled objects and plays with a contrast of textures, forms and colours that seem to take in the passage of time, his interests and experiences.

Those who deeply involved themselves into this project wish that the presentation of his new book Ramon Vila-Rovira, Matèria Viva will mark a new start in his artistic career and will enable him to put his work and mind in order to initiate a new style; so the world will be able to admire a unique man who not only uses a scalpel with sensibility and talent but any artistic instrument to unveil the great artist inside.

Opening hours: Tuesdays to Fridays from 10am to 2pm and from 5pm to 8pm; Saturdays from 11am to 2.30pm

Galeria Hartman · C/Sta Teresa, 8 Barcelona

Rocío Anhert’s oil paintings
16th to 29th June 2007

Rocío Anhert’s paintings are “open” artworks of art which take the audience to a world of sensations. Each of her paintings, far from being a mere imitation of nature, is in fact an interpretation of nature itself.
In her paintings, an instant of light or a chromatic corner turn into an orgy of light and colour, where each stroke is a sign of exquisite sensibility. When one stands in front of Anhert’s work, with its wise stream of light and colour and its Mediterranean sensuality, one realizes the great and exigent painter that lies behind each painting.

Opening night: Saturday, 16th June 2007
Dates: 16th to 29th June 2007
Opening hours: Mondays to Fridays from 11.30am to 2pm and from 6pm to 9pm

Berenice’s fairies and dancers
21st May to 20th June 2007

Berenice is the pseudonym that artist María La Placa uses for her decorative line. She diversifies her work by creating unique decorative objects and paintings.

Her work is all hand made and her creations embellish any room, and yet adapting to the environment still bring a magic energetic sensation that other industrially produced objects obviously can’t. In this exhibition you will discover a fantastic world full of dancers, fairies and jokesters; the ideal decoration for a child’s room or the perfect present for a First-Communion celebration.
La Coqueria · C/Saragossa 66, 08006 Barcelona

Sandra Turnbull
10th April to 21st May 2007
teresarius: promotors d'art organizes two watercolour exhibitions of the English artist in the cafeteria/delicatessen La Coqueria and the art gallery/erotic shop Desig.

Turnbull’s fascination lies in human figures, in a constant search for new ways to present nudity. Turnbull observes sexuality from a feminine point of view and questions beauty and the distortion made of it so as to get a reaction from the audience. To the artist, creation is an uncontrollable desire to express explosive emotions. The painter uses vibrant colours, well-balanced environments and humour talent to awake our emotions.

Opening hours
La Coqueria: Mondays to Saturdays from 9am to 12pm and from 6pm to midnight.

Desig: Mondays to Saturdays from 11am to 2pm and from 5pm to 9pm.

Patricia Sicardi
From 5th October to 6th November 2006

Exhibition of Argentinean artist
Patricia Sicardi’s oil paintings.

Her paintings are endowed with power and mystery and evoke lively colourful places of the towns of Barcelona and Cadaqués. Sicardi takes chances on colour and opens up to new spaces as they are coming. She gets her inspiration from the countless magic spots around Barcelona, so full of life, like the Plaça Reial. Cadaqués, the fishing town in the Mediterranean where she resides at the moment, bestowed the beauty of the sea in her hands and inspired her to capture the narrow streets – the arcades, the balconies and the windows – that tell her about inner worlds

Grassy Artz

After the great success of Mile of Art celebrated in 2005 in the district of Hackney in London, this year the plastic arts event changed its name and venue to took place at the beautiful London Fields Park. The public that attended the event admired a splendid mixture of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, fashionable clothes, photographs and other art formats, including original works and limited editions for sale. Russian Colours
From 27th April to 9th May 2006

The Ekaterinburg Modern Art Gallery together with TMK – Metallurgical Enterprises – the Sinara Foundation and Art-transe.com present this exhibition of Russian artists organized by teresarius: promotors d'artat the Art Gallery ESART in Barcelona.

“Russian Colours” is just a small part of the great art collection belonging to the Ekaterinburg Modern Art Gallery whose main objective is to give the world a better understanding of the modern Art in the Urals region of Russia. The exhibition has an international look, thanks to the congregation of different artistic trends and pictorial techniques. Nevertheless, the essence of the exhibition remains Russian and therefore distinct from the global artistic market. The exhibition displays the work of different artists in order to give the public a greater perspective on the art happening in the Urals at the moment.

Russian art is quickly paving its way into our country; several exhibitions are taking place in Spain at the moment: MALÈVITX’s exceptional retrospective at the Fundació Caixa de Catalunya, displayed at La Pedrera in Barcelona; “¡Rusia!”, the first and greatest exhibition of Russian Federation master pieces dated from the XIV century to nowadays; several exhibitions at the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao; and the exhibition “Vanguardias Rusas”, a tour to Avant-garde Art in Russia in the first third of the XX century organized by the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and the Fundación Caja Madrid.

Each artist uses a unique range of colours that reveals hidden emotions and lingers on the thin line between reality and fiction, and often explores the dark side of it. The painters make use of various techniques: from pastel and tempera to acrylic on paper and oil on canvas. By approaching the work of these artist one can realize of the modern perspective in its creative research; the creative process lies in the relationship between nature, artist and society.

The paintings are powerful; from this exhibition we will understand that Russian art is like vodka: strong, pleasant and penetrating, that first catches your eye to then hit your stomach with a warm and lasting sensation.
