Once consummate the initial explosion of Joana Figueres, this artist has used the power of this gesture to manage to understand the pictorial grammar itself. The experimentation continued with the drawing contribute, indispensable to achieve new forms, sometimes with a point of oneiric or surreal, sometimes with reminiscences of a Klee or a brittle Ponç in the line, forms that later are moved about the fabric, with the risk but also with the grace of losing compositives structures in the way. The fact is that Joana Figueres needs now of the essential one, her atmospheres preserve the strength of then and one can see how the drawings and sgraffitos of texture continue present. But the protagonism given to the line exemplifies a trend to explore the depth of the emotion, with a wanted intention of achieving another plenum, that one that makes a simple gesture or an apparently hazardous stroke be capable of containing the teaching and the experience of an every time deeper and precise execution possible.
