“The city as a mirror of the soul. The stone as a vestige of a human past. Complete and incomplete spaces. Definition and imprecision. In any corner are hidden past and present truths that have never explained themselves and that the stones and the cement, the houses and the buildings, the villages and the cities, reveal to the educated eye of the photographer, with its own language of continuity and contrasts, presence and absences, colors and shadows. In short, the texture of the life of all us.”


With this new exhibition, the Espai Cultural Francolí, headquarters of teresarius: promotors d'art, while following its multidisciplinary character, believes in the photography as a means of artistic expression upward, also finally in our country, and makes the opening of the third gallery room, broadening the space of its main floor house placed in the pedestrianised Francolí street in the Sant Gervasi area of Barcelona.

Moreover during this month of February the Espai Cultural Francolí organizes other parallel activities related with the photography.

PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS    

Basic course of Photography, practical workshop, use of the camera, basic concepts, parameters to take into account, as to achieve better pictures.
 Saturday 14th February 10 to 18 h

Lighting. Day of portrait with model, practical workshop, basic lighting in the study with units of flash and utilization of the flash in requirements.
Sunday 15th February 11 to 17 h

LITERACY GUIDED TOURS IN BARCELONA  
During these cold months of winter (January to March) the programming of our itineraries comes off interrupted until the spring. We will carry on with the walks in April, with new proposals. However, we recommend you to participate in the following itinerary related with the exhibition 'Arqui-textures' of photography:

Looks through the City, photographic Itinerary. A walk for Montjuïch where the participants with their cameras of photos will discover one of the most emblematic areas of Barcelona.

This month from teresarius: promotors d'art we want to highlight the work of the artist MARTÍ PEY (Barcelona, 1948). The artistic boxes of Martí Pey have an own aesthetics. They go away from the two-dimensional works (paper, canvas, etc), they are threedimensional. Their plastic possibilities are quite attractive and varied. They can be personalized to the liking of the customer: sizes, colors, format, subject, integration of other elements... FOCUS ON: MADRID

'ARCO'09', IFEMA, exhibition hall of Madrid. 28th International Fair of Modern Art. Madrid becomes in focus of interest for the international contemporary creation, not only for the presence of more than 240 galleries of all the world, but also thanks to the celebration of the VII International Forum of Contemporáneo. India will be the invited country this year. 11th to 16th of February.

'ArtMadrid'09', Pavilions of Crystal of the Campo House of Madrid. In its fourth edition it still is considered the second fair of contemporary art more important of Spain for the number of participant galleries. It believes clearly in the Spanish art and because of that 61 of the 74 participant galleries are Spanish. 12th to 16th of February.

'DeArte', Palacio de Congresos, Castellana 99. Eighth edition of this art fair alternative to ARCO. 13th to 16th of February.

'Francis Bacon', Prado Museum. The more complete retrospective show about the British artist, organized together by the Tate Britain of London and the Metropolitan of New York, in the year of the centenary of his birth. The sample will gather practically all the fundamentals works of the painter, one of the figurative artists more original of the 20th century. Until the 19th of April.

'The sea of Barceló', CaixaForum Madrid, Paseo del Prado 36. The exhibition shows the process of work of Miquel Barceló in the dome of the room of the Human Rights and of the Alliance of Civilizations of the Palace of the United Nations in Geneva. Until the 17th of March.
