ANGEL URANGA

He is born in Zarauz (Guipúscoa) in 1961. In the year 1984 gets his degree in Fine Arts for the University of the Basc Country with “Analysis and experimentation of the incompatibility of means in a specific Practice”, (Cum Laudem unanimously). During course 1996-1997 he exerts as teacher of painting at the University of the  Basc Country, where he substitutes the Dean of Fine Arts. Angel Uranga, he is not just a painter. It is an artist that belongs to the kernel of the project artistic-cultural "Uranga Pictoric". Aside of the avant-garde line of pictorial research that the artist proposes, his pictures of figurative expressionism, with which we work from teresarius: promotors d’art, are searched throughout the world.

The simplicity of composition, the security in the stroke, the clarity of idea, the brightness of color, the harmonic movement, the transparency of the light... All these factors confirm without a doubt the firm and genial personality of the artist that, in an constant evolution and full of surprises, and what is more, his great capacity of creation.

Thanks to the quality of his work, to the intelligence and genial personality of the artist as well as thanks to a series of collaborators, Uranga has made a name in the national panorama, and every time more, also at international level. Highlighting that in this 2007, besides collaborations at entrepreneurial level (Circuit of Catalonia, El Corte Inglés, Electra), he has exhibited in Barcelona (Espai Cultural Francolí, Caixa Kutxa), Madrid (Jardín de Serrano) and London (Defined Art Gallery). Besides some auction houses have become interested for his work.
