Apartheid The narrative thread of this exhibition considers like an itinerary of going and return: from the European origins of the modern racism, passing through its planetary extension during the colonial period, to end up returning to the most privileged regions of the world in the postcolonial period. 26th September to 13th January.
GOTHSLAND GALERIA D'ART
Ramon Casas, 20 obres inèdites Selection of drawings where predominate feminine portraits of elegant and modern attitude of this Catalan modernist artist (1866-1932), precursor of the art of making posters and father of the graphic design in Catalonia. 15th October to 30th November.
FUNDACIÓ JOAN MIRÓ
A body without limits This exhibition, with more than 80 artworks carried out among 1900 and the year 2000, wants to help to the understanding of the changes in the representation of the human body in the art of the 20th century, a moment in which the human figure stops being only a portrait or a symbol of beauty to become a way to express emotions. It includes: Maillol, Schiele, Dix, Matisse, Picasso, Miró, Duchamp, Chagall, Moore, Dubuffet, Basquiat, Fischl, Tàpies and Saura, among other. 26th Octoberto 27th January.
CAIXA FORUM
Colors en sèrie Itinerary for the emotions that awaken us the colors. A visual itinerary of the white to the black that was born in the TV Chanel 33 and that this autumn takes the form of an exhibition in the CaixaForum. The sample is an invitation to discover what hides behind a color and to make it in a way in which it has not been made until now. It consists of ten documentaries, of 20 minutes of duration each one, dedicated oneself in monographic way to a color. 8th September to 11th November.
FOCUS ON... LONDON
The Tate Britain presents two great exhibitions that it is worthwhile to visit this season: Millais and one retrospective of the Turner Prize, will be able to be visited until principles of January.
Frieze Art Fair. This is one of the more important international fairs of art of the world. 11th to 14th October in Regent's Park.
The Serpentine Gallery, placed in the splendid Hyde Park, offers us two interesting projects: a temporary Pavilion designed by the acclaimed international artist Olafur Eliasson and by the rewarded Norwegian architect Kjetil Thorsen, and an exhibition of the North American artist Matthew Barney in what he has been working for 20 years.
Finally we highlight the Victoria Miro Gallery that shows the artwork of Yayoi Kusama, recognized and influential Japanese artist born in 1929.
