My work is an invitation to the reflection on the invalidity of the absolute values. Nothing is white or black and everything can have several readings. The step of the time or the change of mentality, of state of mind, etc, submerges us in a dialog with the different possibilities of transformation of the matter.

Being conditioned by the ancient forms of the matter, I express another reality or vision of the same ones, so that as well as we can not predict the duration and quality of our relationships, for example, either we can deny the possibility of transformation of this 'thing' that is the central kernel of my sculpture.

Because although this matter that helps me to channeling its feelings and sensations in a personal way, being the iron in the majority of the cases or pieces of agricultural material, antique or old, I do not consider myself because of that a sculptor of recycling, since for me the retrieved piece is not the kernel of the work, if not that it is a part that helps me  to the recreation of my ideas. But people do not have to fall down in the temptation to believe that for the mere fact I transform some pieces, I will achieve to create a sculpture.

The reconstruction is part of the creative process of my works. Dispossessing on the iron of its original way to convert the work into the spirit and the subject of mine.

Influenced from the photography, I believe that my sculpture has a lot of graphic work, but adding this third dimension to it, I have always missed this third dimension in the photography.

The work has to be corresponded and it has to be able to feel the different temperatures and textures of the material -iron in the majority of the cases- and likewise we can turn around it and discover "that viewing angle" that leads us to the interconnection: viewer-work-author. I believe that there has to be a sudden falling in love between the work and the viewer, but also there is a very important part that is the communal life, which it makes that with the day on day seeing the work, when you keep on discovering its strength and essence.

Born in Barcelona in 1951.
Self-taught and photographer fan of DAVID DOUGLAS DUNCAN, on 1979 he went to Iran to cover the fall of the Shah of Persia. Afterwards they will follow Nicaragua, El Salvador, Sudan, etc.
Free-lancer of the press agency of Paris: IMAPRESS, and usual collaborator of the INTERVIEW magazine and EL PERIODICO, he has published in the best national and foreign magazines.
Teacher of photographic report in the CLUB OF THE IMAGE, since 1989 dedicated himself to the photography advertising, industrial and institutional. On the occasion of the inauguration of his home in Rabós de l'Empordà, he made the presentation for the first time, to his friends, of his sculptures and of this presentation appears in June of 2003 the first exhibition in Can Sureda (Barcelona).
